Seat the customers. Take the orders. Drop off the food. Clean the table. Do you think you can handle being the sole waitress in a growing restaurant? In Diner Dash Hometown Hero, you once again take on the role of Flo as she returns to her hometown to make 5 new restaurants.

In the online version, there are two game modes available. In story mode, you follow the story to the ultimate goal of opening 5 restaurants. The story mode has about 50 levels that steadily increase in difficulty.

The other mode is endless. It feels almost like a survivor mode. An endless amount of customers line up to be served. For every customer lost you lose a star. Challenge yourself by seeing how long you can keep five stars.

How well can you manage your time? As the game goes on, your time becomes more divided as some people order more food, want to chit-chat with you, or even would like to you take pictures for them.

In order to do well in this game, you need to keep your customers happy. This means providing fast service with the least amount of waiting possible. Keep track of how your customers are doing by looking at the hearts above their heads. When they lose all their hearts, they leave the restaurant and you lose out on money. Losing too many tables during a level will keep you from progressing in story mode too, so be careful.

Diner Dash has always had fun cast of interesting and sometimes annoying customers. By far, I find the teenagers with cellphones the most annoying. In addition to being impatient, speaking on the cellphones loudly irritates other customers around them, lowering their happiness level. Some new types of customers in the game are food critics and celebrities.

Like previous diner dash games, you have the ability to customize and upgrade your restaurant. You can buy new décor, new machines or items, and even buy abilities to make your job easier. For example, holding four trays at a time helps you provide service to more tables faster.

Diner Dash Hometown Hero, like it's predecessor, is a great game. By adding variety in customization and tasks, the concept of waiting tables never really grows old. The game succeeds in making its gameplay legitimately fun, challenging, and not one I can stop playing anytime soon.
