Gameplay: Don't worry, all those who are chickens like me--Ghost Tales is probably the cutest horror movie you'll ever see. In fact, it's not horrific at all, just a little on the paranormal side. You play as a girl exploring a ghost town in search for her grandfather's house. She finds him dead but his spirit ready and kicking, and after being trapped inside the ghost town, she explores the town in search for other ghosts to free. The game play is rather simple: follow the quest line (which typically includes several clean up activities; ghost are messy, inc ase you didn't know), get the items, make friends, and unravel more mysteries to unlock parts of town.

The story, I will say, is a great motivator to complete the quests, and the characters are likeable and memorable. The game play itself, however, is a bit--repetative. And it can get old really fast. It doesn't have an energy restriction meter, though, and that is a refreshing change of pace from other facebook games, so I will give it points for that. But my biggest issue with it is probably the writing. The story itself is intruiging and immersive, but the low quality dialogue, near-zero attention to grammar, and just poor typos really throw you out of the experience.

Art/Music: The stylized art is probably the best thing about this game. Each character has a unique design, bright and engaging colors, and even their ghost skins are distinct if melancholy verison of themselves. The strong colors and adorable, but still serious, designs drew me to the game in the first place, and they kept me there. The music, on the other hand, isn't really anything special. Niether peaceful nor deterring, it blends into the background and allows the characters to be the prominent selling point.

Overall, Ghost Tales wasn't as great and entertaining as I'd hoped for, but it certainly wasn't a bust either. I give it a 3 out of 5; it's decent, worth playing, but not exactly earth-shattering.
